We are currently seeking new members for our Parish Pastoral Council to serve a three-year term, beginning July of 2018. The Pastoral Council is a representative body of the St. Kilian Church parish family. The Council serves as an advisory body to the pastor and supports the community aspect of the parish as we strive to be a sign of Jesus Christ to all.
The Pastoral Council may be called upon to advise our Parish Administrator on such things as parish events and ways to improve parish life. Pastoral Council members should be good listeners, good analyzers and be open to offering our Parish Priests counsel and advice on matters affecting our community.
The council’s membership reflects the parish’s rich diversity. We are men and women, young and old, new and long-term parishioners, married and single people, and we speak multiple languages. We represent a variety of life stages in the parish. We are currently seeking new members who will help represent the diverse community of St. Kilian Church.
A member must be:
- An active, registered parishioner
- Must be confirmed, at least eighteen (18) years old and in full communion with the Catholic Church
- Able to serve a three-year term beginning in July of 2018
- Able to meet one Monday evening per month from 7:00pm – 8:00pm
- Able to attend one day-long retreat annually
